POSITION
Head of Investment Platform - Jersey (ref: Jer/172):
Our client is a leading global wealth manager with
offices in twenty five countries, providing private banking, investment
management and other wealth management services to a global client base.
As a member of the local board, the investment
professional appointed will have responsibility for all matters related
to investment management, and will be “Head of Investment
Management Jersey” and a principal person with local Financial Regulators.
This global wealth group has investment management
teams based in UK,
Jersey, Europe and Asia which use common
systems, investment strategy and research input. The sophisticated
investment platform in Jersey serves offshore clients, many of whom are
UK resident non-doms, with combined AUM of the order of £1 billion, and
is directly responsible for managing their portfolios within the overall
group framework. A range of standard models plus bespoke portfolios for
high AUM accounts are managed. The small local investment team liaises
with group private bankers globally, and directly with Intermediaries,
corporates and high AUM clients.
The Head of Investment Management Jersey will report to
the Head of Investment Management in London,
and will be responsible for management, span of control, oversight and
fiduciary responsibility for all investments managed in Jersey.
Responsibilities will include ensuring that client assets are managed in
line with group strategy, agreed investment models, and client
objectives.
Candidates will
have extensive current experience and technical expertise in managing
multi-asset class portfolios, ideally in a private banking environment
and dealing with UK
resident non-doms, and will have relevant knowledge of the legal, tax,
and regulatory factors involved in offshore asset management.
