Senior Accountant, Funds & Corporate
Services: (ref: Jer/176):
Our client is an independent wealth management group
with offices in Jersey and several other
offshore jurisdictions. The Funds & Corporate Services Division is
continuing to expand, focusing on administration of specialist funds for
wealthy clients and corporate investors, and on a variety of corporate
structures in employee remuneration and SPV areas.
The focus of this role is to manage the accounting
workload of the Funds and Corporate Services business to ensure the
timely completion of the reports, financial statement and management
accounts for all client entities. The role will involve the management of
a small team of accountants and bookkeepers, giving technical guidance
and support as required. The Senior Accountant will report to the
Director of Corporate Services and will liaise group-wide and externally
with Auditors, promoters, advisors and intermediaries.
Responsibilities will cover Fund Accounting and Fund
Administration, and will include involvement in the establishment of new
funds and the assessment of their accounting requirements and
methodology.
Candidates must have a full professional accounting
qualification, and be experienced in preparation of fund accounts for
different legal entity and regulatory types, together with awareness of
current industry technical developments.
As a member of the Executive and Management Committee for the
business area, the Senior Accountant must possess the ability to
contribute to strategy, infrastructure, systems, legal & regulatory,
financial, compliance, operational procedures, controls and risk
management decisions.
